To Consign or Not to Consign????

So I am one of those women who loves to shop. I admit it. My problem with shopping is I usually don't like to get rid of the old stuff. I actually found a pair of jeans from 2007 hanging in my closet. After having 3 kids back to back I didn't even try to fit into them. Last week I was thrilled to try them on again and they actually fit. Now if I would have given them away, I wouldn't have had that YES moment. So my question is do you consign or shop at consignment stores?
