Yesterday we attended Open House at the elementary school. This year it was a little different because both classes met at the same time. I took the gifted session and my hubby went to Kindergarten. I loved how all of the classrooms were decorated and welcoming. Most of the rooms have smart boards and computer stations this year. After listening to the teacher for 30 minutes I realized kids have it so much harder these days. The expectations and preparation for these exams is crazy now days. I do not miss teaching or being a student right about now. I am grateful for two great teachers that truly enjoy their jobs. Hats off to all of the wonderful teachers out there. I know it is not easy.
The best part of the night was going out to dinner afterwards. I figured since we had to pay the babysitter, we might as well have a good time. We went to this new restaurant called SIP in South Miami. The food and atmosphere was amazing. They have sushi, tapas, steak, seafood and any drink you can imagine. There is literally something for everyone. Wednesdays is Ladies Night so, Sangria was on the house. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend checking out SIP.
